Green Sale
Just before Christmas approaches, on Saturday, December 5th 2009, Saint John's opens its doors to the Washington community to sell greens of all sorts for people to decorate their homes. Also found: gourmet taste treats, a Book Table, and author signings.
Christmas Pageant
The Church School children participate in the Christmas Pageant at the 4:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve in the church. A rehearsal for this pageant is held the Saturday or Sunday before Christmas Eve, and another one just before the service itself. The Christmas pageant is one of the true wonders of Christmas
at Saint John's.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
On Tuesday evening, February 16, 2010, the kitchen at Saint John's will once again be busy and noisy with the sounds of spatulas and griddles as pancakes go flying up in the air as the last night before Lent is celebrated with a community pancake supper.
The Georgetown House Tour
April 24th 2010will see a continuation of another venerated Saint John's tradition as this community sponsors a tour of some of the well-known houses of Georgetown. This is the oldest house tour in the country and involves hours of loving labor from parishioners and non-parishioners alike. During the week preceding the Georgetown House Tour, a celebratory "kick-off" event, The Patron's Party, will be held on April 23 to herald the arrival of The Georgetown House Tour 2009.
The Parish Picnic
The Saint John's parish community will gather on June 6, 2010for an afternoon filled with food, fun, friends, and fellowship. The smell of barbecue grills, the sounds of laughter, and conversation from all generations on the front lawn of St. John's. A constant favorite is the presence of a good old-fashioned Good Humor Truck parked in front of St. John's loaded with treats.
